Another Friday rolls round yay, and another photo for the lovely Rhonda from the Down To Earth blog Friday Photo Feature - 'On My Mind....'
So what is on my mind this lovely mild Friday?.............................
Seeings as Mr Mel and I are wanting to get married later this year (we got engaged on Valentines Day a few weeks ago, yay), I've bitten the bullet and joined Curves.
I need to get healthy and lose weight as a long term goal, but hopefully Curves can help me meet the short term goal of not looking dreadful in a wedding dress!
The ladies at the local Curves seem lovely, altho the lady teaching the Boot Camp class when I was there seemed a bit scary!
So this weekend I'm buying new runners, new gym clothes, and I start on Monday, look out!
Till next time,
GOOD FOR YOU! What an awesome reason to job on the health and fitness train. CONGRATS!
ReplyDeleteI have heard wonderful things about Curves . Have fun. B
ReplyDeleteWell done :) I'm a Curves gal and i thoroughly enjoy it. Alsong as you eat properly aswell as exercising you will notice a difference :)

I followed you over here from Young House Love, and found myself totally amused by your header and "About Me." Despite the fact that you're a Scorpio! ; )
ReplyDeleteGood luck and congrats on your weight loss journey.
Becky - thanks :) it is a lovely incentive!!
ReplyDeleteButtons - thanks, I hope the wonderful things continue and they don't kill me!
Twisted Soul - thanks :) glad to see another Curves gal who doesn't hate it! Yes the eating is a big thing also, we love to cook, and unfortunately what we love to cook isn't exactly fat free! But we're determined to make changes!
Karen - thanks for following over :) I love Young House Love :) Thanks for the good wishes and congrats, I'll need them! Altho the Scorpio in me says victory is guaranteed (or people will pay heehe) :)
Mel, I doubt you'd look dreadful in your wedding dress. I wish you every success and hope you reach your goals. When is the wedding?
ReplyDeleteGood for you Mel and congratulations on your engagement.
ReplyDeleteRhonda - thanks :) No probably won't look dreadful, but I'm determined to be a bit happier about being in a white dress & being photographed in it! :) July is d-day!
ReplyDeleteRose - thanks :)
the goal may be the wedding pictures, but if you manage to create a new habit of regular exercise, you will benefit the rest of your life!! I am a sporadic exerciser...still holding my own & don't weigh too much more than when I was younger, but a friend/classmate of mine is doing triathlons. I want to go back in time and live like her and look like she does at 50!! Go for the gold, you CAN do it, Mel!!
ReplyDeleteDmarie - agree 100%, the wedding is my first goal, my overall goal is health. 50 doing traithalons, that's amazing!
ReplyDeletecongrats! And good on you!! I'm getting married sept this year and have the same goal...to get fitter before the wedding & long term.
ReplyDeleteThanks Vi :) Congrats to you also!
